Le Patio Musical
plays a new
visual tune.
The Patio Musical, a specialized music education institution, is the municipal music school of Saint-Aignan de Grand Lieu.
It welcomes around 170 students, supervised by 10 teachers, and develops partnerships with cultural stakeholders in the area.
As its 20th anniversary approaches, Le Patio Musical entrusted me with the redesign of its visual identity to mark this key milestone in its history. The goal was to modernize its image while preserving the warm and welcoming spirit that has made it successful. Through a new logo, a harmonious color palette, and dynamic typography, I worked to convey the energy, passion, and musical diversity that drive the school.

The logo of Le Patio Musical consists of two elements: an iconographic part and a textual part. The graphic element offers an abstract representation that blends music and nature, echoing the Saint-Aignan de Grand Lieu lake, all enclosed in a square shape for a harmonious and balanced structure. The name "Le Patio Musical" stands out with clarity and modernity, accompanied by the name of the town as a baseline.

As part of my work on the new visual identity, the school entrusted me with creating a series of sleek pictograms to represent its main musical disciplines. These pictograms visually illustrate each instrument and field taught, thus facilitating communication and reinforcing the school's identity across its various materials.

To finalize this work, I also created a brandbook, an essential document that helps structure and sustain the new visual identity of Le Patio Musical. This guide consolidates all the principles of the graphic charter: logo usage, color palette, typography, pictograms, and visual variations. A true reference, it ensures graphic consistency across all communication materials and enables the school to firmly establish its new branding.
